VAN and CGY are exactly tied right now: 65 GP, 30 W / 24 L / 11 OTL = 71 pts CGY GD -21 / VAN GD -20
Chicago may upset VAN. So long as they lose one or both of these back-to-back games, we'll have games in hand at least.
Remember, VAN had two games before the CGY game and lost both.
I'm not totally bullish on playoffs**, but I think they still have a good chance. This road trip will likely be the determining factor. I'll be in Deadmonton for the final BoA on Mar 29, I hope this chase remains relevent then.
**With bottom 10 only about 5 pts away I still don't mind the thought of slipping low enough. If the road trip is a disaster that might be a possibility.
