Team really missed Backlund, Zary, and Pachal IMO.

You lost two skilled forwards and replaced them with grinders instead of Kerins (and his 4 points in 5 NHL games) and scratched one of your most steady guys.
I agree this was a scheduled loss, and the lineup looks very thin right now.

That bum Hunt actually has more points(48P in 48GP) than Kerins(46P in 49GP) in the AHL. I'm pretty sure the coaching staff is still trying to make the playoffs, so the decision is never as simple as "play the younger guy". I also doubt we would've seen much of a difference in the 6 minutes of ice time, and 11 shifts Hunt got.

With all of Coronato, Zary, Pospisil, Pelletier, Kirkland, Klapka, and Duehr graduating, moving on, or getting injured the forward ranks for the Wranglers became Paper thin. Hopefully this team gives Kerins, Stromgren, and Honzek more of a chance at training camp.

I'm not sure what's behind the decision to scratch Pachal, aside from giving your 7th D some reps. Maybe the coaches wanted a bit more pace and a better transition game from the 3rd pairing.
