This shouldn't be surprising. Carney has been amongst these people for years. He certainly has no intention of making any significant changes. Trudeau is one of the worst Prime Ministers in Canadian history (backed by all time low approval ratings) and I certainly hope Carney can do better if elected. Despite what anyone wants to say the performance of the previous/current Canadian government has done serious harm to this country. If you need backing feel free to look up any economic metric you'd like. Take those metrics and make an apple to apple comparison against a country that has the advantages we have with regards to resources etc. Of course, given our unique advantages its a comparison that cant be made.

What really bothered me about the question period after his speech was the question relating to when he would call an election. He laughed and said, "you can expect one before November." I know he is simply trying to evade the question but give the Canadian people what they want. Give them a choice. Its pathetic that he would answer that questions with a laugh and evade it. Shameful.
