I still can't beleive we got two solid young roster players, one at a position of huge organizational need, for a handful of magic beans. And it truly was magic beans:
- A terribly underperforming roster player on an expiring contract (no value)
- A roster player who was truly waiver fodder with limited upside (low value), don't get me wrong I love pelts but when you take off the rose colored glasses, he is not anything special and holds very little value as an asset.
- A second round pick (only real value) which, based on statistics, was most likely to never make an impact in the NHL.
Like if anyone on this sub was asked before the trade, "what do you think it would take to land frost & Farabee", what would any of us answered??? A second round pick and two 0 impact players would not have been it!
