I have found that there seems to be no middle to this.... either you like it or you hate it.
Of the 4 people i went with... 2 liked it , 2 hated it...
Alot of the hate comes from one of two things:
1) Hate everything Micheal Bay does no matter what.
2) It was cheesy and designed for kids.
First off.... I went into this movie expected a Michael Bay atrocity.. .but it is probably the best movie he has ever done. It was not over the top... the acting was decent and the CGI was excellent. Lines were corny, but that is true to the Cartoon.
2ndly, It was actually quite true to the old cartoon, especially the dialogue with/between the Transformers. While the vehicles were updated, for the most part they were similar to the ones from the cartoon. Megatron being a big gun wouldnt have fit in with the storyline....
Overall it was worth the price of admission for me, and i was not dissapointed.
