He's only 24 and signed to a fair contract for his production for the next six years.
As much as I really like Parekh and what he's doing, he's still only a prospect and absolutely is not a lock to be even as good as Dahlin. Sure, there's a small chance Parekh becomes a better overall defender and a smaller chance he's the next Bobby Orr, but it's far from guaranteed.
Dahlin is already arguably the best defender in the NHL. Trading a blue chip prospect for him wouldn't be stupid.
