I'm sure the i4 is much better than the Ioniq 6 but I'm not sold on the driving enjoyment of an EV now. I thought the instant torque would appeal to me and it does, but I didn't think I'd miss the interactivity and noise of the engine but I think I did. I didn't expect that.

On the noise of the engine, BMW (and others) have added sounds that pipe in for that exact reason. BMW has "iconic sounds" and I know that Porsche has this as well. The idea is that this is somewhat simulated engine noise, presumably because people miss that aspect of driving an EV.
