Fraser Minten and a late 1st round pick is not exactly a haul for Carlo. Do the Flames need another 20-25 pick? Should we have traded Rasmus for more middle 6 players and potential players? According to you in a different post that contradicts the trade Rasmus post the answer is no, we don’t need more middle six players like Minten.
I assume the only reason to trade Rasmus then would be to make the team worse?

That has been this organization problem since the lockout. Throw picks at the problems.
Getting those age range players also keeps us in contention for wild card spots but nothing more.
Even if we try to trade for elite players they will come at a time they are looking to cash in like a Rantanen or Huberdeau. Plus they are wingers.
Even cozen. He’s nothing special all he does is add to a logjam of middle 6 players. Chasing those trades doesn’t make a lot of sense when you have a bunch of them already.
