It's been kinda fun going to the grocery store and looking for Canadian/non-US foodstuffs. Haven't had to buy toiletries/household cleaning products etc yet though and I imagine it will be harder to avoid US products for those.

I was already a bit anti-American in my alcohol buying, so no change there. I've also only vacationed in the US three times in the past 20 years so that's easily avoided.

I'm not perfect in other areas though. Though I don't watch American sports, I've been watching WWE more frequently recently (and I'm aware of their connections to the Trump administration) and likewise my wife watches Amazon Prime a lot, and shops on there quite a bit although hopefully that recedes. Going to the cinema is something I love doing and obviously it's hard to not watch American movies there.

How do people feel about US chain restaurants? I haven't made up my mind there yet, not sure I want to punish Canadian franchisees.
