If you look at the point system I did above, there are 8 teams that have really good draft siutaions. Chi, SJ and Nashville are expected as they are the bottom 3.

Philly really jumps out to me though. They added to there draft today, they kept all there top players and have a rookie like Michkov. They are way more likley to add a star to their core in this draft than we are and also add depth to the prospect pool.

Seattle also added a ton to the value of their draft, have some young players playing very well that are new to the team. Didn't really give up any core players and aren't that much worse than we are but are way more likely to add stars to the core this draft

Montreal - ranks well ahead of us, also has a high-end rookie and didn't lose anyone that matters but has a way better draft than us.

1 trade today could have made a difference for the future and still allowed this team to make the playoffs. But that wasn't the goal to start the year, I get rewarding players but why not reward the Wranglers too, they are very good. Need to move bodies out to do that.
