I don't think management necessarily planned on this team being in the playoff spot at the deadline, but here we are.
Sure they could sell, but what should they be selling? They don't have any pending UFA's that would return anything significant. Kadri has a NMC and most likely isn't waiving to go anywhere. Maybe Andersson, but why move him just to move him? If they feel like they can get similar offers at the draft to what they are getting now, why move him now?
I get that people want to tank, but that's not where this team is at today, and they don't really have any assets that they absolutely need to sell right now.
I don't really understand how their situation right now is being viewed as sacraficing the future to make the playoffs today.
