That's not accurate. Conroys plan hasn't changed. He is trying to keep the team competitive while focusing on getting younger and stocking the cupboards.
Barring a large step forward or backwards, he isn't going to offload core players until he has to. He also isn't going to give up big assets unless it's for young players with term.
He has done a great job in the context of that plan, and he has been rewarded with a team that is competing for a playoff spot. I don't see him deviating from that plan now or in the summer.
The concern that many of us have is that approach is more likely to keep us perpetually middle of the road then it is to turn us into a real contender.
