People have talked a lot about Cube's post already, but I wanted to bring up this last sentence:

Well, yeah, because as soon as a trade is actually agreed on, the GMs make the trade call and it goes straight out to official news sources. Nobody breaks accurate information before that because there is no accurate information to break.
There's a limit to how much detail we can get on what GMs are
trying to do, up to the moment when they actually do it. If we push it too hard, we could get posts like this:

I'm watching Gummo ‘Mushmouth’ Marsh, GM of the Banff Fighting Squirrels, as he makes his all-important preparations for the trade deadline. He's got his phone ready and his speed-dialing finger flexed. No calls are coming in, except one from an agent that he's already put on hold. This is an exciting moment, ladies and gentlemen. Anything could happen in this tense, unpredictable situation. Which way will the Mushmouth go, buyer or seller?
All right, we have official word from our stalkers in the office across the street. Gummo has dialed a number on his phone. We think… yes, we can confirm it has a 7 in it! That lets out all the teams that don't have a 7 in their number, so the Jacksonville Crocogators are out. Tough luck, Jax. The phone is ringing once… ringing twice… Will Gummo be patient and wait for the trifecta, or will he do a hard pivot and dial someone else?
Oh, something big is happening! Gummo is putting in his false teeth! You know he's talking to someone important when he takes that crucial step. And now the call has been answered. Which team is it, and who is in play? It looks like… He's talking now…
And… Gummo just ordered a sandwich from Uber Eats. You can go back to bed now.
