But that's ok, I was just interested to hear what people thought professors should make relative to other industries. It's a tough thing to pin down, because some professors just teach there courses and write a paper or two every couple years, or a book every 4 years. Others are essentially running small businesses (labs) that could do hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars in grant revenue per year.
