Totally makes sense. Flames probably would be looking to move Rasmus if they got Carlo. Get an extra year of a right shot dman who can play top 4 minutes to give Parekh/Mews/Hunter B more time to develop if needed. Not sure how it does not make sense.
What does not make sense is bringing in young dmen and throwing them to the wolves by not having legitimate NHL dmen in the lineup to shelter them.
