I watched a great war time film the 49th Parallel. During the early days of WW2 a German boat is sunk in the Hudson Bay and a small group of German soldiers trying to avoid capture in hostile Canada try to sneak into the then still neutral USA. The film takes place all across Canada including a crucial scene in Banff national park and Banff Springs Hotel (I think). The film also has Laurence Olivier playing a French Canadian fur trader with the thickest French Canadian accent ever. It's a fantastic film, and was made by Powell and Pressburger to try convince America to enter the war. If you want to see a film with Canadians fighting nazis across Canada this is the film to see.
