Chicago picked Levshunov exactly where Central Scouting had him ranked. They might have made a different choice with the benefit of hindsight, but it was a reasonable choice at the time.

It was Parekh.
Or Demidov.
But not Lev.
Leaving a pick like that to “consensus” is what gets teams to take out their starter in the 5th inning of a World Series game because math says you should.
IMO.
I’m grateful they did - I really believe we have a top-2 talent of this draft, and if we do, that’s as good as drafting top-3 in my book.
