Goalies may be a dime a dozen, but getting a good one, especially one that is young and still developing, is insanely hard. The Panthers were in a great position for their future with Knight slowly taking over the starting net. Now what's the plan? #### if I know.
All for Seth Jones.
Advanced stats aside, because we know that being on a bad team can skew things, but have you watched Jones in the last 5 or 6 years play a game and think to yourself "yeah, that guy's a winner"?
Nope. It's a dumb decision and I'm going to yell and scream about it for quite some time. Even if he plays well in the short term, it's a bad move long term.

Knight was never taking the net while Bob is playing, the SC win cemented that. Just from his POV, I think this is great for Knight too, to be able to establish himself as a #1. Incredibly humble and spoke openly what he's been through, wish nothing but the best for him.
I think you're wrong about the long term thing though, it's all about now for a SC contender. There is nothing to play for in five years, Florida will be done by then and will have to retool/build. Thinking long term is for teams like the Flames.
