I am pretty sure Arizona tried this when Biden was in power and the federal government won after fighting it in court. As of right now, it's only a summary offense punishable by deportation under federal law to be undocumented
unless you were deported and entered again while being barred from from entry. The latter would be a felony. The court ruled that the state couldn't change that.
