Yes we can. But syrup bottles tend to be either plastic or the really good ones are considerably sturdy vessels of thick glass.

I agree. When an American soldier has to cross the border and is expected to shoot and kill resisting Canadians, I think you'd see a pretty large contingent of Americans refuse, including high ranking officers. I'd like to think it's not TOTALLY based on racism like Senator Clay Davis suggested, but when I think about the same situation at the southern border, I don't think there'd be the same hesitation to invade Mexico, so...
