I don’t know if it’s my own old age or the pandemic but I notice that more and more people will not shut the fata up. The unnecessary details about everything, always. The worst is when you know it’s coming. Like a trip to the grocery store where the machines didn’t work. This is a 10 second story tops but then it starts.

Totally dude. Keep your stories short and they better be funny or STFU. I don't want to just listen to a pointless boring story or complaining.
Also - and I realize there are many guilty over the past few days here - but I have a "don't tell me about your dreams" rule in my house. Even for my kids. IDGAF about anybody's dream
