He's played a lot of hockey over the past two seasons and when you consider he's averaged over 21 minutes per game over his career which is highest by a forward since he entered the league, there's probably going to be a point where even an elite athlete will start to see his body and overall game show signs of fatigue. You can't say the Oilers haven't milked him for every ounce of what he's got but you wonder if he's going to burn out a little as he's human after all.
