I actually liked it, it didn't have the same camaraderie as the original series or the other movies. But I loved the V'ger story line, and Kirk being obsessed with getting the Enterprise back. And for the time, it was visually stunning.
And the end of it with the kirk giving the course of "Out there . . . that a way"
