I am completely annoyed by the flag waving BS that goes with stuff like this. The whole "Cold War" through athletics ruined any international tournament for me, in any sport. Even my wife, a very casual fan, thought that just picking the US, Canada, and only two Euro countries was just too arbitrary. Not worth interrupting the season over. And in the end, just exhibitions with no genuine stakes, except NHL self-promotion.
