I find when most people are saying #1 center its usually in the same discussion as about half a dozen centers in the league. You get one if those about every three years at the top of the draft. The rest if the league has to make do with good top line centers or as close as possible.
Again you are talking about a guy who just turned 24 whose entire formative years were in a dumpster? If it costs one of our plethora if wingers and he improved marginally he is a middle six Center. Again something we dont really have?
Backs isnt going to get better, the best you can hope is kadri stays where he is but will probably drop that leaves frost and a second year center and rooney?
Still have to ice a team, we dont have room for the wingers we have on the left, defence is ok to pretty good and center is two 35 year olds, frost and a second year center. Kadri gets injured our chances to make the playofs is probably zero.
