I'm not sure Conroy is obsessed with him at all. And I doubt he is offering a futures-based deal, since all the talk is that Buffalo doesn't want futures, but help to turn things around immediately.
It doesn't pay to mistake the talk in the media, or even from knowledgeable posters here on CP, for what Conroy is actually thinking.
