He signed a new contract with Vegas week later. There could absolutely have been a contact stipulation in the trade. (For another 1st?). Do you think making Miromamov a throw in makes the deal better?
If Conroy thought he was a diamond in the rough, lost in another organization (like Yegor with Devils) I could at least understand that angle, but if you think he was just a garbage throw in that makes the deal utterly terrible. For what it's worth I think this was a guy Conroy thought could bust not. But he busted. I have no desire to belabour this trade this much a year later and rehashing old debates but it was a bad deal then and a worse one now.
Not the end of world and no need to get emotional and "not understand" someome else
