I don't understand comments like this. Are you suggesting general managers have always 100% without fail made the best possible deal every time? I'll never understand your derision you have for opposing views. Conroy traded Hanifin two days before the deadline, perhaps teams that were interested earlier had dropped out and he had himself in a corner. Perhaps he focused on Miromamov too much and overvalued him, perhaps Hanifin's agent fiddled around too much and made things difficult..perhaps perhaps perhaps.
One 1st round pick from a contending team from a player of Hanifin's pedigree is a bad deal. End of story. We don't need to defend the team at every corner, I'm a Conroy fan but this was a bad deal. Shrugging your shoulder and going golly gee not much we could do chum, doesn't change that
