It took a few hours and I was able to calmly interact with them until they settled down, but everyone there was blown away. They never behaved like that. So I dunno what it is about me, but dogs want me dead. Their complete unpredictability is a reminder that all dogs need to be treated as wild animals first, and cuddly pets second.
Interesting. Dogs love me, but I don't really care for them.

I had a friend who's wife is a pit bull advocate. They had two rescue pit bulls and lived in a 500 square foot apartment. These animals made me extremely uncomfortable. Yet, whenever I sat down, they insisted on resting their giant skulls in my lap.

Whenever I meet a golden retriever they insist on playing with and wrestling with me. In these situations the worry is them drooling and shedding on me. It can be cute for 5 minutes, but after a half an hour, I'm ready to move on.
