Honestly if they would let the team doctors take a look at him I'd be willing to move for him still.

When you look at his NHL Edge numbers you see that his play is likely 100% skating / injury related, and knee tendonitis is very much curable with rest and rehab.

Vancouver's training staff appears to be an absolute gongshow with both Pettersson and Demko looking like they are rushed back from injury or not properly treated.

Maybe if your star center has seen his skating speed / speed bursts drop from being in the elite of the league, to below replacement level, you should take his injury concerns seriously and not just downplay it after the season as him being soft.

Trade for him. Shut him down for the season. Properly rehab his knee. And hope you get the guy who was an elite skater back, instead of the guy playing on one leg who is in the 50th percentile for skating.
