lol, imagine messaging someone random you met for like 15-20 minutes to buy collectibles from, 7 years later.
I recall he didn't even respond back then when I called and messaged him at the storage locker location back then. I just had to wander around and figure it out based on his PM/post in the buy and sell.
I'd be surprised if I even got, "New phone, who dis?"
Did anyone else know him IRL other than to meet him to do the occasional buy/sell?

I'm not that interesting. He was the interesting one.
If you look at one of his last posts in the "what did your folks do" thread, that's basically how he was when chatting in real life. He probably could have been a damn good song writer. Bob at UrbanX is a master conversationalist (if anyone has chatted with him while waiting for work to be done) and OMG!WTF! was next level. I now wonder a little bit if this is how people feel when they meet Craig Conroy. Their stories just stick out.
After I met him, he did completely disappear deeper into the locker to look for something specific from his childhood or something. He called out from somewhere inside saying he wouldn't walk us out, so we loaded the stuff on a nearby dolly and left. When we turned the corner, my wife did wonder if he'd randomly appear and start chasing us down the hallway saying he wanted to undo the deal. "What if he wants his mom's beanie babies back?"
I laughed because the idea seemed so silly. If he chased us down the hallway wanting his mom's beanie babies back, that's like some reverse Five nights at Freddy's ####. lol. And funny to me because my wife wondered about being chased for the beanie babies, not the 3 totes of other stuff we bought from him.
