It’s time for the party to wake up. I think they’re too far down the rabbit hole to boot PP, but the warnings many were making about the socially regressive, Trump-like direction and tone is proving to be a very valid concern. They need a hard shift in direction, I’m just not sure they have a leader that knows how.

I disagree.
PP has gotten them as far as the CPC has been since Harper; and moves to the center by O'Toole and Sheer have largely been ignored. PP hasnt had an election yet, and i dont think any party wouldnt give their leader a chance.
Plus they have, for better or worse, embraced this kind of rhetoric now. No change in leader will make most people think twice. There doesnt appear to be the same intra-party discontent as was revealed in the Liberal party to make the shift seem more legitimate.
But i still think PP gives the CPC the best chance to win.
