With 18 games to go and a 1.58 PPG full-season pace, Parekh on pace to finish with 99 points. If you take his slow start out where he was 1.0 PPG in the first 15 games, he's been playing at 1.87 PPG the last 30 games. If he maintains that pace, he'll finish with 105 points.
To put the past 30 games into perspective, if he played a full 68 season at the pace he's played the last 30 games, he would finish with 127 points. That would be the second highest ever by an OHL defenseman, tied for 72nd amongst all OHL players ever for points in a season, and the most points by a defenseman in the last 30 years by 26 points.
This kid is going to be electric in the NHL and should be a franchise defenseman. His ceiling is best player the Flames have ever had.
