Huberdeau - Kadri - Farabee/Pospisil
Sharangovic/Coronato - Frost - Underpants
Pospisil/Farabee - Zary - Profit
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato/Sharangovich
I'm usually not good at these, but a few anchoring thoughts:
- feel strongly that Farabee is the best complement for Kadri - Huberdeau. His game is basically to get to the crease whenever possible, and that's what you want with a passer like Huberdeau and a 'must create my own shot at all times' guy like Kadri. For example, I thought Coronato was a poor fit up there because he needs shots and Kadri isn't giving up any of his attempts. If not Farabee, then put Pospisil there to cause havoc.
- I would like to separate Zary and Sharangovich. Zary was very intent on creating his own offense and trying to juke defenders... not a good match for Sharangovich imo.
- I like Coleman - Backlund - Coronato. I think Coronato gets a lot of looks on that line and the other two aren't prolific shooters. Good fit. If not Coronato, then I'd try to work in Sharangovich... I think Coleman could swap wings no problem.
- Frost looks versatile. I think he could work with Sharangovich on the wing, or with Coronato on the wing.
Dunno what you do with Lomberg. Rooney is expendable imo with 4 better centers pending Zary's return. I'd rather call up a Wrangler to fill some of these winger slots.
