This timeline is so scary.
Anybody who reads history will know that we are seeing the authoritarian playbook in action.
Also, if you've read anything about Putin's rise to power a lot of similarities.
What appears to be missing right now (but I'm sure is coming):
1. Some sort of internal terrorism that requires military intervention and / or more power to police/military.
2. Militia's patrolling the streets or another sort of unofficial demonstration of power.
