Weegar has the hardest zone starts of all defensemen on the team. So if Hanley is playing with him, his starts are hard and typically against high level competition.
Weegar and Anderson share the lead for % of ice time.
So while they play about the same amount, Weegar starts more in his own zone and generates significantly more offense for and prevents more against.
His partner (hanley in those 17 games) is doing the same.
You can't shelter against competition with that high of ice time and defensive zone starts.
