It’s not uncommon in Canadian politics for candidates who don’t have seats to run for party leaderships. Jason Kenney didn’t have a seat in the Alberta legislature when he ran for and won the leadership of the Alberta PC party. Like Carney, when he announced his candidacy for the leadership he immediately became the front-runner and many PC MLAs flocked to his banner. Same with Naheed Nenshi and the provincial NDP. What’s happening with Carney and the federal Liberals is no different.

How many of the other candidates are in "Constant Contact" with the prime minister and the MPS on the Trump Tariff file? How many have received briefings as he states he is getting? But he is a OUTSIDER and not a politician or elected official. Common, call a spade a spade, he is being groomed to be the PM.
