If the play was always made then you'd never have to cover the point for a pinching dman because he's always going to make the play.
You have to assess the risk there and Bean being the only high man and also being the guy with the puck taking the shot means he has to cover his point men.
It wasn't Bean that pinched, it's that Andersson, Kadri, and Farabee are already below the circles and Huberdeau can't be the 4th guy below the circles
