It's the difference between a potential #1 centre vs a potential #2. Everyone on Buffalo has had awful numbers for the last 2 years, and many teams will be relying heavily on that to explain away Cozens less than spectacular numbers over the last two seasons.

Thing is the longer Buffalo waits here the tougher it's going to make it.
Initially you could brush off 23-24 as just "one bad season"
Now his 24-25 season is trending even worse...
The lack of big RH centers around the league will prop his value up for sure. But I still think the value he's probably being offered by most teams is some like 1st round pick + prospect. If teams were offering drastically more than that he'd be moved already I think.
I'd be shocked if Andersson + Pospisil + pick isn't the best deal they've been offered by far...but Andersson just didn't want to waive.
What other teams are probably looking for a center like Cozens...Nashville, Montreal, Utah, Chicago, Boston, Minnesota, Detroit, Calgary.
So there is a market but I bet it's largely based on futures with any of those teams.
