If you were referring to me, I don't think it is “everything will be fine and nothing will change.” It's like playing 4v5 hockey. Waste time and then it will get back to normal.
In the meantime, with respect to hockey, your offensively skilled and defensively challenged players are resting up.
With respect to Canada, I would urge in the strongest way possible to begin now at improving infrastructure and reducing dependence on anyone. We've seen where laziness leads. Flipping out when some temporary US president does something stupid. Build powerful infrastructure to all three coasts that will be the envy of the world. No NIMBYs, no lifelong environmental studies with obvious denials, no negotiating. Get it done.
