I realize that times could be difficult for a lot of people with the coming tariffs, but a big piece of advice I would give is to turn off the news and focus on something else as much as you can. If you have Twitter on your phone or computer, delete it. It’s good to be prepared, but I was almost obsessively scrolling the news about this, and it brought my panic / anxiety disorder right back up again after a couple of years. So I’ve decided that for now, I’m steering clear of all news related to the Tangerine Tyrant because it’s not worth my mental health to stress about things that are out of my control. It doesn’t mean that I don’t think about it, but I’m in a much better headspace without watching the perpetual news cycle around it.
My algorithm is once again dumb cat videos, Norm MacDonald and Sims builds and I’m starting to feel better.
