I said this before, but I truly think he's trying to play to his audience that he's doing something for his country. Trump has backpedaled on the tick tok thing fast, so he's capable of it. But I watched a youtube video earlier today which talked about his stauch believe in tariffs in general, and that makes me a little weary that he may be in this for the longer haul than just a few days. In any case, I truly think he's using this as a negotiating tactic to get favourable terms when he does want to bargain (I said bargain, not negotiate). He's a shrewd business man. I have no doubt that one of his cronies are shorting or going long behind the scenes on whatever he has planned and they're all laughing to the bank somehow. To hold a country hostage without much warning is mean spirited. I'm not an economist in any way, but I really hope there's pressure on him immediately so his country is negatively impacted. He really does help the big guy, so look to the Musks of the world for who he'd be helping in all this.
