I try to be fair and call balls and strikes...obviously I'm biased as is everyone. I did though give Trudeau props, multiple times, on this board for buying TMX and building it. I wrote his office a letter saying the same. His comments last night on not dividing the country further was great. The NDP and the moron leading them are much much worse on this issue than Trudeau. There have been significant misses and unforced errors on Trudeau on this file though, specific to him as he took over in 2015 right as four separate coastal pipelines were trying to be completed.

But yeah you're right there's a deeper issue. Canadians are not good at infrastructure on a national scale, and that's a problem that will manifest itself repeatedly. The citizenry of this country for some reason have decided that it's icky to build stuff, to expand ports, to move forward. We've been coasting on post war infrastructure for way too long and it needs to change. Aren't we all happy with TMX? Isn't it awesome? It was like pulling teeth, even on a calgary based board to get people to come around on that and now we can sell at least some volumes to anybody, it's incredible. We need more though.
