All of these assumptions of Backs on the fourth line seem to be making an assumption that the replacement couldnt possibly be better?

Backlund's line is the 10th best forward line in play driving of any line that has been together 250 minutes.
It's an elite line when it comes to puck management and shut down.
You don't break that up.
And you don't send it's QB to the fourth line.
He'll lose a step or two by the time his contract is over, and will likely finish on the fourth line but it's not going to happen in February of 2025.
