The original idea was to use a WWI-era Dreadnought for the centrepiece, but the model was a gift during the holidays so it got the nod; after my last carrier build I thought I wouldn't do another one, but it ended up working out better than expected. Used a new technique for the sea surface - toilet paper soaked in a water-glue solution - and it actually worked better than my old tin foil technique. Cotton balls made up the fire.
This one was a TON of fun to build. Lots of detail here, so there's a lot of photos to look at:

I dont even know what to say.
This might be the greatest thing ever? A family of inexplicably fire-breathing rubber duckies attacking an Aircraft carrier?
I...I am speechless. I literally rolled on the floor laughing.
Now I'm thinking this is an idea that must be sold to Hollywood.
"Giant Space Ducks attack Earth and only the US Navy can save us!"
I mean...they've made dumber ####! Its essentially the plot of Independence Day...but with Ducks. Fire-breathing ducks. I'm sure they can do other things too.
Fair warning! If for any reason he decides to sell that, I demand 'right of first refusal!'
