Roll four lines.
He gets bumped from the second line center to the third line center where he's perfectly suited.

The team averages just under 48 minutes of five on five hockey tonight.

They currently roll their lines roughly like this ...

14.5 min
13.5 min
12.5 min
7.5 min

I think Backlund may move from 13.5 to 12.5 now.

Rolling four lines is a thought, but you'd need to get the fourth line up in talent, and if you do up in minutes, which takes each of the top three lines down by a minute each.

Just don't see Backlund on the fourth line, but he's an elite 3rd line center, and doesn't have to be a 2nd line center any more.

Why you'd want to take one of the best play driving forwards in the game out of the top nine is beyond me.
