Just because it’s a good deal for the Flyers doesn’t mean it’s a bad deal for the Flames.
I’ve never bought into the notion that one side or another ‘wins’ a trade. The Flyers get cap flexibility and some futures for moving out a couple guys who weren’t part of their long-term plans. The Flames get a couple young middle-six forwards who can help with scoring. Nobody has to lose for it to be a good trade.
