These are the types of results you get when your coach calls the shots. This was a trade just to get these guys out. There's no justification. They'll hang on to Pelletier longer than they have to to save face, but they'll quickly have nothing to show for trading two young-ish middle six players.

And we thought there was some minute chance that Daniel Briere would make a trade for Elias Pettersson. This might make us forget about the Ristolainen trade. Imagine trading the only offensively creative centre on a centre-starved team and another young forward with offensive potential for the honour of having someone you can not sign on July 1 and have spending money. Oh, and a maybe top-9 forward, a 2nd and a gift bag to give to the Canadiens as the draft wraps up.

Unless there is much more to the deal that hasn't been reported, this is an utter embarrassment and demonstrates the complete ineptitude of the current Flyers front office. This team has officially sunk to the bottom.

I can’t imagine what this looks like if the Flyers weren’t willing to take Kuzmenko. Farabee was considered an untouchable in 2021. Less than 4 years later, and at age 24, they just want to get out from under his deal.

Good thing we got a player with passion, and not a player that can score or a good draft pick for our 2 mid first round picks still early in their careers

Plus side, this makes us worse the rest of the season.

Frost and Farabee aren't top talents, but given their age, their ability to contribute right away and still provide youth for Calgary, I can't believe Briere couldn't extract real value.

Nor do I buy it's a Torts' deal, b/c there is no way on God's earth he's want Kuzmenko, who's allergic to playing defense, near Michkov.

The only credible piece is Pellitier, but he's worth far less than Frost or Farabee.

And the Flyers don't need cap room, they have Ellis' LTIR money available at the TDL if needed.
