I actually like it. Yaks are awesome animals. Years ago I knew someone who had a yak on their hobby farm. It was very smart with a lot of personality, kind of like a goat and better recall than a lot of dogs I've met.
I think people tend to over think it these days. Just pick a cool animal that hasn't been taken yet. Animals always have marketability and don't really go out of style.
