I’ve said before I’d have preferred a tear it down rebuild and a shot at a top three pick, but with the team doing what it’s doing, and having a goalie perform as well as Wolf, you can’t completely blow it up unless you trade the goalie… and if you do that, you’re… Buffalo. But at least you’re following “the plan.”

I don't know what the heck you are talking about, I was responding to his hypothetical that the Flames put more assets on the table. Overpaying for mid players is not part of the plan, that would mean they are just desperate for anything.
Not sure I have ever seen a team in the 1st year of a rebuild trading picks and prospects. That is how you end up like Buffalo or Montreal.
